Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been intense.

Season 1 presents a large cast of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
